Last Minute No Kings Day Reminders

A note for newcomers; a reminder for regulars & a parking update

Good morning, fellow patriots and welcome new comers!

The big No Kings 2 day is upon us.

There are more than 2,600 events planned today across America, a reported 18 other countries will host events in solidarity, and 90 events are planned across Minnesota.

You are taking place in history. This is expected to be the largest protest in our nation’s history.

There is a reason Republican leadership is freaking out. They know these events will be a massive and undeniable rebuke of trump and their rule.

So Tom Emmer and the rest of them can smear No Kings Day as “hate America” rallies but we saw what a real “hate America” rally looks like on January 6.

But thanks for the publicity!

We have always been, and will continue to be, peaceful protesters excercising our right to speech.

Newcomers

Please read Judith’s post from yesterday for details of how we conduct our events and ourselves. We protest with joy in our hearts. We have fun.

Many of us have never protested before until now. You are welcome with open arms to join our community.

We recognize and respect the free speech rights of others but we do not confront and we do not esclate.

We do not expect a confrontation and our wonderful Chaska police department will be on hand to defend our right to speech.

Regulars

Please welcome our new community members and educate them as to how we conduct ourselves. Encourage them to join us every Saturday.

Tell them to visit swcrier.com and sign up to our newsletter for free.

Tell them about our Drinking Liberally social hour every first and third Tuesday.

Tell them to share their photos and video social media using the “ChaskaProtests hashtag.

Parking

Jay reports that Kohl’s has installed “Customer Only, Tow Away” signs in all their parking lots. No other retailer has posted signs.

Consider coming a little early and parking at Jonathan Elementary School 1/3 mile west of Hwy 41 on Pioneer Trail or Chaska High School 2/3 mile east of Hwy 41 on Pioneer Trail.

If you can car pool or take an Uber or Lyft, please consider doing so.
