White shoes are appearing across the Twin Cities as quiet markers of ICE enforcement actions. Now, the Ghost Shoes project is looking toward the Southwest Metro — Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Chaska, Shakopee, and the places where our neighbors live and work. Here’s why this civic art matters, and how we can help make sure our communities are not left off the map.
I would love to be involved in this. I could donate some shoes, paint some shoes and install shoes with a group. I followed on Instagram, but let me know how I can get involved. And THANKYOU!
Thank you, David, for your meaningful comments today. Your column was the best piece I read all week because of the way you crafted it and included us. Your words will stay with me for a long time. Thank you very much for taking the time and energy to write--always, but this column in particular.

Thank you, Debi! I looked for volunteer opportunities on the group’s website but saw none. Hopefully, they’ll add that as they expand their efforts.

Thank you so much, Gaye!
Great piece David. So glad you brought this to our attention. I think a lot of people would love to be a part of this. I know I would. Thank you.
