A New Birth Of Freedom
Look what we built together in 2025 and why 2026 is ours to claim.
Let’s take one last look at 2025 before we set our sights on the year ahead.
Celebrate What We’ve Accomplished
We found our footing (literally) in March of this year when we started gathering for our weekly pro-democracy rallies. A handful of hearty souls at first, then more and more.
Over the course of 44 weeks, we’ve averaged 250 patriots making our voices heard. That’s 11,000 attendees over the course of this year. Add in two No Kings Day events attracting 2300 in June and 3500 in October, and we’ve had an attendance grand total of 16,800 over the course of the year. Look what story was the most-read article of 2025 for Carver County Local News:
We hosted food drives to help many of our neighbors who have been hit so hard by Trump’s tariff taxes, his refusal to address inflation, and Republicans’ cruel cuts to food programs.
Many of you saved a worker from the clutches of ICE, testified against Carver County Sheriff Jason Kamerud’s pursuit of a contract to rent our jail cells to ICE, and patrol our streets on the lookout for rogue federal forces.
And throughout the year, your weekly presence has brought hope and inspiration to those driving by. You see it in their faces. You hear it in their horns.
Your presence means more than it ever did now to our neighbors who live in daily fear of their families being torn apart by ICE.
You Are Not Alone
All across this state and all across this country, there are patriots defending our democracy and our way of life just as we have done:
2026 Is Our Year
So let us recommit to make this year even stronger yet. Let us dedicate ourselves to reclaiming the liberties and freedoms that have been encrouched.
Fortify yourselves, for we still have much work to do but take heart and inspiration in the fact that this is the 250th anniversary of the birth of the ideal that is America.
There have been periods in our history where that ideal has faltered and we are living through another of those eras. It falls to us to preserve, protect, and defend the ideal that we are all created equal, that we all enjoy certain unailenable rights and that among those rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Let us together “highly resolve that” we "shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
It has been an honor to stand in solidarity with you all.
