A note from Judith:
Yesterday’s food drive was the largest individual food drive in history for Bountiful baskets, collecting 3,886 pounds of food and $549 in cash!
The head of bountiful baskets stated it will all be distributed by the end of the week. Representative Lucy Rehm and her team where amazed and thankful for all the support. Thank you all for protecting the people in our community.
293 of you showed up yesterday. I loved all the costumes. Every week so many of you show up with bigger and more innovative signs. If you were there you would have noticed how the honking from people driving by has also increased and that is because the momentum is growing.
I know the weather is starting to work against us, but we are Minnesotans and we do not let that stop us! We are the momentum!
Please do not stop now, please keep showing up for yourself and for all of us who want to protect our democracy.
Why Costumes?
The narrative from the far right is that we are all causing trouble and we are the reason they have to send in the military. The costumes take away that narrative.
We are peaceful and we will continue to be peaceful, even wearing costumes and dancing to music. We have food drives to help others!
Quick Action For This Week
Carver County has only one item on the ballot and voting ends November 4th. One item may seem to be not that important but it is.
The vote is for the school referendum and as the White House continues to try to dimmish our right to vote, we need to keep showing up and making sure we exercise that right.
Drinking Liberally
Tuesday we have another fun evening from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at The Bellows (232 Pioneer Trail in Chaska) and all are welcome. Although it’s called Drinking Liberally, many of us do not; we just get together and eat great food and connect on a closer level.
Celebrating Our Veterans
The next protest will celebrate our amazing veterans. There are usually at least 14 of you on a slow day at the protests. With Veterans Day approaching, we want to thank you.
Bring your American flags. Make a sign to point out what the current regime is doing that hurts vets. Let everyone now that you protected our country and are still doing so.
The Next Big One
When is the next BIG protest?
Right now it looks like it will be on November 22 and it will be called Rage Against the Regime. More details will be coming.
Many of you want to continue giving food and money. We are working on setting that up. If we decide we can do that at the next protest, I will let you know by Friday. But in the mean time do not forget you can always contact local organizations in your area to donate to directly.
Big Ask
Does anyone have large commercial hot water urns we can use or buy from you? We are trying to set up ways that we can provide hot coco, cider etc. as the weather turns.

Being part of last Saturday’s rally and food drive was so energizing! Thank you, Judith, and all others who worked so hard to make Saturday such a success! I’m so proud of our organization and promise to keep showing up on Saturday despite cold and wintry conditions!
Please keep up the great work. What a blessing to be surrounded by so many dedicated, and caring, people. BTW, PBS will be airing Ken Burns' American Revolution this month beginning on Sunday, November 16 at 7 pm.
