Important update!
Last year, The Bellows was kind enough to open their doors to us for free and let the SW Protectors hold our meetings there. Twice a month, they provided us with a safe and inclusive space, great food and ever-changing décor.
We had contacted other places, but the prices to rent a room were astronomical, especially since we have no money. The Bellows and their gaming store, The Forge, have grown over the last year, and they now need the space for their business. I am so thankful to them, and I hope you will continue to visit. They have an ever-changing menu of delicious food and are locally owned.
This change does mean we need to find a new home, and we did!
The Golden Kitchen, just down the road in downtown Chaska, is locally owned by immigrants, and the food and drinks are always great. We’ll also have better acoustics!
At our next meeting on September 15, we will have our own Chrissy and Kai, who are both running for commissioner in Carver County. Let’s talk about what commissioners can and can’t do, how data centers fit into the picture and so much more. We will also talk about what to do in these last few weeks before the election to make sure your vote gets counted.
On October 6, Dan Kessler, who is running for the Minnesota Senate, will come talk with us. And on October 20, we will have Ellie Krug, who is running for school board, to talk about how important that role is.
If you have not joined us before, I invite you to come and meet with us.
