Neighbors Stepping Up
From protests to personal care drives, here’s what you’ve already made happen and how to keep going.
A Note From Judith:
Things are happening fast.
Another shooting. More kidnappings. ICE agents using brutal tactics. Trump claims to support protestors—just not in his own country—while talking about bombing Iran and buying Greenland.
Feeling overwhelmed? Let’s pause and focus on what you can do, and what you’ve already done.
What You’ve Made Happen
The first ICE Out Bingo was a great success, with over 55 people attending. We laughed, talked, and met new people. That connection matters.
Last week, many of you showed up at protests in Waconia and Chaska. The Waconia protest alone had more than 50 people.
Yesterday, I volunteered with Latino Voices, helping pack boxes of personal necessities for people who can’t safely leave their homes. I saw firsthand how hard they’re working and how your donations are making a real difference for so many families.
Latino Voices continues to need volunteers to pack, organize, and deliver these boxes. The need is huge. If you’re able, please continue delivering supplies to the Latino Voices office.

Please note: A virtual training is required before volunteering.Drop off donations:
Fridays, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Or any other day by going to the back of the building, placing items on the shelf, and ringing the bell. They’ll be notified.
You are personally helping prevent people from being kidnapped. Thank you.
Upcoming Events & Requests
Saturday: Protest Reminder
It will be cold, so bundle up.
Andie will be selling our awesome yard signs with metal stakes for $14 (cash or Venmo).
Important Safety Reminder:
Please do NOT engage with agitators. We have a trained security team wearing yellow vests, let them handle it. Engaging, yelling, or arguing puts everyone at risk.
There have also been reports of agitators confronting protestors after events, including at nearby stores like Aldi. Please stay alert, be cautious, and call 911 if you feel unsafe.
Minnesota is setting an example right now. We are stepping up.
Tuesday: SW Protectors Get-Together
We’ll be joined by Doug Chapin, who will talk about the upcoming caucus; what it is and why it’s so important to attend.
We’ll also be collecting donations for Latino Voices. If you’re able, please bring personal care items, especially:
Baby soap and lotion
Diaper cream and diapers
Toothbrushes
Shampoo and conditioner
Deodorant
Hand soap
Cleaning supplies (laundry detergent, dish soap, sanitizing wipes)
Women’s hygiene products (pads preferred over tampons)
Children’s medication
