Show Up
For our neighbors, for ourselves, for what comes next
A Note From Judith:
It was getting scary before Wednesday. Now things are even scarier.
I had planned on giving you all some good news and things you can do to help, but that can wait.
For now, we think about Renee Good and her family. We hold in our hearts her wife, who was right next to the car when this happened. We hold tight her three children.
We support the people who saw this happen and who will now have to carry that trauma with them.
We think of the doctor who was on scene, who pleaded to be allowed to help Renee and who had to stand by helplessly when they would not let him.
To the people who filmed what happened, we thank you. Those videos show the real story, not the propaganda that is being spouted.
I know I am feeling so much anger and fear and disbelief, and so many other emotions I can’t even name yet. They are swirling around in my head and body. I could use a hug. How about you?

Rain, snow, or ice, please show up.

Well said, Judith. Thank you for all you are doing. It matters. --I am sending you a strong hug. --Collectively, we will get through this and make our nation one where more people feel a sense of community and belonging and we are closer to creating "liberty and justice for all."
We must organize in order to get ICE out of Minnesota. Judicial action is required to order their removal, just as it was needed in Chicago.
