Hot Coco Saturday
...in addition to the warmth of all your passion
A note from Judith:
You are all amazing!
I heard from one of you that because you could not donate to the food drive on Saturday you donated 79 lbs. of food this past week.
Add this to the large amount already donated reached a record. If you haven’t donated yet, or if you want to donate more, scan this QR code:
I volunteered at the food distribution event held by Bountiful Baskets yesterday and spoke to an immigrant woman who said she drives by us every Saturday with her kids and cries and honks the horn every time.
She is too afraid to be with us standing there but she is so glad that we all are. The USA is not a safe place anymore for many people so it is up to us that still can to stand up and fight.
Fighting can look different for everyone. Some of us show up at protests, some of us drive by and honk the horns, some post on TikTok or Facebook, write letters and make phone calls.
Do what you can and don’t stop.
A special treat on Saturday: Kim is setting up a coffee and hot coco station for us all to enjoy! Saturday may also be our first cold(ish) day if the season, so dress in layers.
I look forward to seeing you all.
In Case You Missed It
REBUKED!
I started thinking about the role of citizens as I was brainstorming lyrics for a new protest song.
