Events, Support & Ways to Stay Involved This Week
Sign-making, social gatherings & a community food drive
A note from Judith:
Last night, the first of the Epstein emails was released, and SNAP remains on hold.
Like many of you, I’m feeling angry, sad, confused, frustrated, and nervous about what the coming weeks may bring.
What I can tell you is this: Saturday is expected to be warmer than last week, and our team will once again be out with coffee, hot cocoa, and treats.
Thanks to your generous donations, we’re able to continue supporting everyone’s comfort and safety.
Upcoming Events
Sign-Making Night – Monday at Chanhassen Library
Join us Monday in the Wilder Room at the Chanhassen Library (7711 Kerber Blvd, Chanhassen) from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. to make new signs. With so many issues emerging, it’s hard to keep up—and we want to be ready. Please bring supplies if you can, and feel free to share extras.
Drinking Liberally – Tuesday at The Bellows Bistro
If you’ve never been to a Drinking Liberally gathering, this is a great time to start. We’ll be at The Bellows Bistro (232 Pioneer Trail in Chaska) from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Come for the conversation, stay for the camaraderie.
Food Drive with Doug Chapin – Saturday, November 22
Our next food drive will take place on Saturday, November 22, with Doug Chapin. Donations will go to Bountiful Baskets. Please check their website for an updated list of needed items—examples include cooking oils, kids’ lunch supplies, toilet paper, school snacks, and cereals.
You can also donate cash, which is much more efficient for food shelves to serve their clients:
I look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
Judith
