A note from Judith:
I hope that you all have been watching all the great pictures and drone footage from last week. No Kings 2.0 was a great success and now we have to keep going.
Our weekly protests give many people hope. I know they give me hope. I have heard many of you say that coming each week is what keeps you going throughout the week when the news is one long bad dream that keeps surprising us by the idiocy and corruption.
The people who drive by get hope from all of us, too. They see they are not alone. They see that what is happening is not normal and that people are standing up and that is making a difference for so many.
In the next few weeks I will be providing you with more information regarding other things you can do throughout the week to make a difference. One option is to go to 5Calls, which helps you call five legislators and tell them how you feel about what is happening. They have prompts you can use. Using this website at least once a week will make a difference.
Don’t forget that in the upcoming weeks the weather may be changing so weatherize your protest signs! You can do this by covering them with clear packing tape, contact paper or you can cover them with a coat of clear spray paint or sealant. I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday from 1-2 pm at the corner of Hazeltine Boulevard and Highway 41 (North Chestnut Street) in Chaska.

Call Tom Emmer's office with your concerns .. I call at least 2 times/week.. listing the issues I wish my representative to 'know about' .. The young workers in his office are pleasant and will take down your concerns (not that it will possibly mean that much - according to the e-mails I receive later from Tom Emmer's office ) .. I tell them my name - ask them to write down my concerns (I number them) I list them, and then I ask them to read them back to me (summarize) .. And, they do .. Lately, there has been a little bit of a waiting time before they answer -- and you might be on hold .. A GOOD Sign that they are taking lots of phone calls..
I remember watching this on TV when I was 5 years old. It makes me tear up even more today.
