Bikes, Cameras, and Composure
Why how we respond matters more than how they behave
Sorry for the very short letter today. I am dealing with possible pneumonia and am exhausted from all the coughing.
Last Saturday there were 260 of you, and this weekend the weather will be absolutely amazing. I am hoping you get out, recharge in the sun, and get ready for a long fight.
The Voting Rights Act is no more, and the aggressive way the Trump regime is trying to obtain various voter roll information shows they will stop at nothing to prevent us from having a free and fair election. Why? Because they know we will win.
Check your voter registration at least once a month, as there have been reports all over the U.S. of registrations disappearing. You can do this at mnvotes.sos.mn.gov.
I know that there have been a number of kids on bikes and scooters at the protests. Please be aware of your surroundings, as I do not want anyone to be accidentally hit by them. I also know the things they say and how they behave can be very frustrating.
I know they have been filming us, so please do not give them any reason to complain to authorities about us, because that would be a PR nightmare.
Remember that we are on a public way, and they have as much right to be there as we do. Their behavior is a direct reflection of their parents, and all we can do is deal with it.
I wish you all a great weekend!
Judith
