A Busy Week Ahead
Sign making, Drinking Liberally & a new food drive
A Note From Judith
Saturday’s protest drew 258 people and 3 dogs. Kim once again made sure everyone had hot cocoa or coffee and plenty of treats. It was windy but sunny, and we got lots of supportive honks from passing drivers.
This Week’s Events
Monday — Sign Making at the Chanhassen Library
I’ll be there from 5:30 p.m. onward. Bring any supplies you’d like to use or share. Come to refresh an old sign, make a new one, and laugh at the slogans we come up with. [Map]
Tuesday — Drinking Liberally at The Bellows
Join Mike at 6:30 p.m. or anytime after, located at 232 Pioneer Trail in Chaska.
Saturday — Food Drive with Doug Chapin
Next Saturday we’ll hold another food drive, this time led by Doug Chapin, who’s running for the House in the 6th District to replace Emmer.
Bountiful Baskets has asked us to focus on holiday baking supplies and school snacks: cooking oils, sugar, flour, shortening, chocolate chips, baking mixes, granola bars, and fruit cups.
Please enter between Starbucks and McDonald’s, then follow the road behind Aldi and look for the drop-off signs, just like last time.
Looking Ahead
I’m not sure what next week will bring, with more Epstein files being released, possible U.S. military action in Venezuela, and reports of additional ICE activity in Minnesota.
Andie (who runs the Waconia protest) will be handing out leaflets on what to do if you see ICE. She’s also sourcing whistles; if you have extras to bring and hand out, that would be appreciated.
Have a great week, everyone!
Judith
